Westside
Imports carries many "Unique & Rare" Stone Pagodas.
All
pieces are Hand Carved from a variety of Native Indonesian
Stone.
Pagodas,
or stone towers, were developed by Buddhist monks during the
Asuka period (600 A.D.).
These tall structures, derived from Indian Stupas, were placed
outside the temples as a shrine or memorial. Today their use
in the garden is purely decorative.
Pagodas
create a beautiful vertical feature, and if placed by water,
will emphasize it's reflective nature. The base of the pagoda
should be partially buried.
Pagodas
are measured from the base (or foot) to the top of the cap.
